Characteristics edit
Paralysis Attack launches a melee attack that may paralyse the target. Monsters first gained the ability to inflict paralysis with their normal attacks in Dragon Quest III, with it eventually becoming its own skill in Dragon Quest V. Starting from Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, the Paralysing Touch trait that is possessed by certain monsters has the same effect as Paralysis Attack.

Paralysis Attack is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Dread admirals, Man o' wars, and Scornets.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen edit
Paralysis Attack can be used by Cocoon goons, Decayurions, Demonspawns, Drooling ghouls, Humbabas, Man o' wars, Mangler fish, Paralyslicers, and Pit vipers.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride edit
Paralysis Attack is already known by a Man o' war monster companion when it is recruited. The skill costs no MP to use. On the enemy side, it can also be used by Deadcurions, Fire-eaters, and Paralakeets.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation edit
Paralysis Attack returns to being an enemy-only skill that can be used by Aristobats, Hell hornets, Killer moths, Man o' wars, Sail serpents, Venom wasps, and Zombie gladiators.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past edit
Paralysis Attack can be used by Deadcurions, Decayurions, Diethons, disastropods, Electroslimes, Lesionnaires, Major headaches, Man o' war, Pink panzers, Picudas, Sting slimes, Toxic zombies, as well as the boss version of Nail blighter and Orgodemir in his final form.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King edit
Paralysis Attack can be used by Dark skeletons, Hell hornets, Man o' wars, Scorpions, Soulspawns, Toxic zombies, Venom wasps, and Zombie gladiators.
The only Infamous Monster who can use it is Noddy.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies edit
Paralysis Attack can be used by Cobra cardinals, Deadcurions, Dread admirals, Man o' wars, and Peckerels.
Dragon Quest Monsters edit
Known as Paralyze in this game, this ability can be learned by various monsters. It requires the monster to be at least level 9, with 63 max HP, 54 ATK, and 54 INT. It is naturally learned by the Biguana, CactiBall, EvilSeed, GiantMoth, MadHornet, Mummy, SabreMan and TreeSlime. Monsters with the PoisonHit and NapAttack abilities can also learn it.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2 edit
Paralyze has the same requirements as in the previous game, except that the INT requirement is now 98. It is naturally learned by the Anemon.

Paralysing Punch can be learned from all the skill sets it could be previously.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince edit
Paralysis Attack costs 4 MP and attempts to paralyse a single enemy for 2~5 turns. It is learned through the Anaesthetist, Calasmos, Hive Mind, Multidisciplinarian, Orgodemir, and Slayer talents.
Dragon Quest Tact edit
Paralysis Attack is known naturally by Abracadabrador, Hunter mech, and Zombie gladiator at level 1 and can be learned by Drooling ghoul at level 16. It costs 12 MP to use, inflicts 130% potency physical damage to a single enemy, and has a chance to paralyse them. It can also be taught to any non-Hero unit by using an ability scroll, which is earned as a reward for completing stage 7 of the Ghost's Battle Road.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius edit
Known as Paralysing Touch in this game, it is a skill that can be learned by Killing machine and Robbin' 'Ood at 4★ rarity or higher. It deals 120% damage to a single enemy and has a 30% chance to inflict paralysis.
