Molly is a prisoner from Skelkatraz in Dragon Quest Builders 2 who teaches the Builder how to tame friendly monsters.
Appearance and Personality[edit | edit source]
Molly is an elderly woman medium-length white hair tied back in a low ponytail, and sunken eyes with small black irises. She dons the typical ragged rags that all Skelkatraz prisoners wear, a torn musty brown tunic, a frayed brown jumpsuit, a dark beige ribbon tied into a bow at the front, and dark brown sandals.

Dragon Quest Builders 2[edit | edit source]
Molly is first encountered when the Builder and Malroth are imprisoned in Skelkatraz. Molly is usually at the entrance of the storage in the prison, near a fireplace. She helps the Builder prepare the escape from Skelkatraz, and at a certain point she gives the Builder the wrangler's ring, a key tool that allows players to befriend friendly monsters. If monsters show interest in joining the party, giving them some monster munchies will seal the deal, which she teaches the Builder how to make.
Molly got imprisoned over forty years prior to meeting Malroth and the Builder, due to her love of cooking. She used to cook for humans and monsters alike, which the Children of Hargon forbid, claiming that humans and monsters cannot be friends. While she is quite accepting of her fate - "numb to everything" as she says - and occasionally laughs at Malroth and the Builder's hope of escape, she does everything in her power to help the Builder.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Molly is a female counterpart of Monty, an old man who teaches the player about taming monsters in Dragon Quest V and VII.
- Her prisoner number in Skelkatraz was 784, which signals how long she has been there - the Builder's number is 6207 and Malroth's is 6208.
- Malroth calls her "Old Lady Cooks-No-More"
- She may be one of the only characters who is not from the world of illusion; however, this is not outright confirmed.
- While she had no part in the Moonbrooke story arc, she may have seen Warwick after his death, as she says that she once saw a silvapithecus that was half-human.
