Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake edit

Dodgy Dance increases evasion by 50% for 3~5 turns and costs 4 MP to use. It is learned by the Hero at level 10.

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake edit

Dodgy Dance once again increases the user's evasion by 50% for 3~5 turns and costs 4 MP to use. It can be learned by the Prince of Cannock at level 8 and is already known by the Princess of Cannock when she joins the party.

  • If either character is under the effects of Dodgy Dance, several of their Souped-Up Skills become available to use by holding down a button, depending on which version of the game is being played. The Princess of Cannock's Dodgy Dance can become Rough 'n Tumble if her HP is below 50% or if she is under the effects of Absorb Magic.

Dodgy Dance increases evasion to 50% for 3~5 turns and costs 5 MP to use. It can be learned by the Hero at level 13 if their Wisdom exceeds 38. It can also be used by a friendly Minidemon and Ursa major. On the enemy side, it can be used by Hoodlum and Articore.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation edit

Dodgy Dance boosts the user's evasion to 50% for 2~3 turns. It can be learned by reaching rank 2 as a Dancer or rank 4 as a Martial Artist. It can also be used by Hellstalker and Bronson.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past edit

Dodgy Dance is learned by reaching rank 5 of the Dancer vocation and or rank 3 as a Slime. It can also be used by Magic marionettes.

Dragon Quest Monsters edit

Known as SideStep in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 9 with 63 max HP and 54 AGL. It can be learned naturally by DanceVegi, MudDoll, PillowRat and Slabbit.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 edit

The requirement to learn SideStep are unchanged. It is naturally learned by the Inverzon, LandOwl and WildApe.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince edit

Dodgy Dance costs just one MP and doubles the user's evasion for 4~7 turns, stacking with the Ace Evader, Artful Dodger, Evasive Impulse, and Supreme Sidestepper traits, and is voided by the Dodge Denier trait. It is learned via the Altruist, Cutpurse, Fuzzy Thinker, Musclehead, Party Monster, Pop Idol, Rockin’ Roller, Speedster , Supreme Healer, and Vexologist talents.
