Helm Splitter is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It reduces the enemy's defence for 7~10 turns, with the exact amount varying between games.

In the Nintendo 3DS version, Helm Splitter can be learned by advancing to rank 4 as a Gladiator or rank 2 as a Champion. It costs no MP to use and has a chance to reduce the enemy's Defence by 50%. Since it is an advanced skill, it can only be used by those vocations.

It can be used by the enemies Lieutenant kernel and Splitting headache.
