Moonahan is a village in central Torland in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, just north of Moonbrooke.
The town serves as a central location for several quests during the early portion of the game; notably, freeing the Princess of Moonbrooke, retrieving the Windbreaker, and departing for Rippleport.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line[edit | edit source]
Moonahan is the meeting point of the three Luminaries. After obtaining the Ra's Mirror, the princes can use it on a dog in the upper-east section of the town to break Hargon's curse and reveal that it is really the princess.
Moonahan is also home to the Water Sigil. It is hidden behind a Golden Key door and a Jailor's Key door. The Luminaries must then fight two Grimlins and search the empty cell to find it. The location of this Sigil is hinted by a man in Beran.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit | edit source]
Moonahan is accessible through the Altar of the Legendary Line in Tickington's Echo Chamber. The Luminary and co. are transported to a time just before the breaking of the Princess of Moonbrooke's curse. The townsfolk have been turned into dogs when the Princess attempted to break her own curse and turn human; she requests a vial of magic water to turn the town back to normal. Once she is given some, she apologises to the party, figuring it must have been awfully hard to find some, and when she hears that it was extremely easy for them to obtain magic water in their own world she is baffled. She then returns the state of the town, leaving herself cursed as a dog while freeing the rest of the townsfolk. She then remains there, awaiting the arrival of her cousins.
Dragon Quest Builders 2[edit | edit source]
Moonahan is, as expected, a hamlet north of Moonbrooke, although only the chuch remains intact (mostly, at least) with ruins of buildings around it. There is a chest in the church basement with 10 zapphires, and on the wall is the unique Portrait of a Princess decorative item.
