Carddass (カードダス, Kādodasu) is a term given to Bandai's vending machine system for collectible trading cards, and by extension a term for the cards distributed by the machine. The name for the machine was inspired by a Japanese weather information system, AMeDAS. Bandai launched the Carddass system in 1988 and, since then, has distributed cards series from various video game and anime franchises.
