Fire Breath is a breath attack in the Dragon Quest series. It singes all enemies for 6~10 damage.

Fire Breath is an enemy-only skill that can be used by both Green dragon and the Dragonlord himself in his dragon form. It deals 12~20 damage.

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line

In remake versions of the game, Fire Breath is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Dragonflies and Gremlins. It deals 12~20 damage to the entire party.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation

In remake versions of the game, Fire Breath can be used by various monsters, including Grillerpillar, Hell niño, and Magmalice. It deals 6~10 damage to the entire party.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Fire Breath is learned by many monster companions such as the small fry. It does not cost MP to use.

Dragon Quest Monsters

Called FireAir in this game, this ability can be learned by a variety of monsters. It requires the monster to reach at least level 3 with at least 21 HP. It grows into BlazeAir when the monster reaches level 10 with at least 70 HP. It is naturally learned by the BattleRex, Darkdrium, DeathMore (Transformed), DracoLord (Dragon form), Dragon, DragonKid, DrakSlime, Gismo, LavaMan, LizardFly, Mirudraas (Transformed), Mudou, NiteWhip, Orochi, Phoenix, Pizzaro, Sidoh, SkyDragon and StagBug.

The requirements to learn and upgrade FireAir are unchanged. It is naturally learned by the AsuraZoma, Demonite, Digong, GigaDraco, MetalDrak and Shantak. It is no longer naturally learned by the NiteWhip.

Fire Breath can be learned naturally by Chimaera, Hell niño, and Axesaurus at level 1 and Firespirit at level 16. It costs 9 MP to use and deals minor Frizz-type breath damage to any enemies in a straight line of three squares in front of the user. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
